Oversized furniture can work fabulously in limited space if well chosen and well placed. A deep daybed gives you much more sitting/lying space and even a spare bed for when guests stay over.

Consider adding more character with a gathering of different art hung flush at the bottom with each other. The end result has both interest and form.
