If you think about your house for what it actually is....
It's a space you are paying a lot to live in.
To leave rooms abandoned...
or disorganised...
or just plain unappealing,
is to waste your mortgage, every day.
So my basic approach is very pragmatic. Initially I send you a detailed questionnaire to fill in. Armed with this at the consultation, I will go through with you, room by room, your main daily needs and where your house is not accommodating them.
The questionnaire is really worth being thorough over. If I get lots of information before I even arrive... we can better maximise the time spent. Make sure you are standing there looking at each room as you fill it out! Also, if organisation is a real problem for you, I can leave you with some customised organisational strategies and ideas.
So, in brief...
The consultation will go through room by room,
(please keep this in mind if you live in a huge house!)
- examining the current use and practical needs you have for it.
- assessing the best way to achieve the look you are after, with the practicality you need.
- implementing (as far as resources permit) the changes.
- developing organisational ideas and strategies
The trick is to get back to you owning the space in the house, not the house owning you.
As there is every size of unit and house imaginable I start with a minimum consultation of two hours at $300, taking travel into consideration. Additional hours are charged at $50 per hour.
Again, if you have really taken your time over the questionnaire, and have willing helpers on the day... we can accomplish a huge amount in two hours.

As Melbourne has gotten so much bigger and more difficult to traverse, there is a minimal travel fee for those a long distance from the Mornington Peninsula.
